- On the day of the ceremony, the bride should switch her engagement ring to her ring finger on her right hand.Now, her left-hand ring finger is ready for her wedding ring. Traditionally, the engagement ring and wedding ring are worn on the third finger of the left hand.This custom originated when people believed that a vein of blood ran from this finger to the heart, thus making it the most appropriate place for a wedding ring.
- For the wedding bands, generally the man pays for the woman’s engagement and wedding band whereas the woman pays for the man’s wedding band. However, for most modern day couples wedding rings are bought together.
