2013 Wedding Trend Predictions

I've just read a very interesting post by Christine Dyer of Bridal Tweet and I have to say even though I have been married for a while, I feel inspired for the first time in a while to plan a wedding again.

Some of the trends she mentioned are:

1. Mint as a wedding colour.  Super cool and creates such a relaxed and classy atmosphere.

Wedding Paper Divas

2. Paper Lanterns for Decorations.  Very affordable and adds a quirky quality to your day

Good Things Wedding Favors

3. Braids for your wedding hairstyle which I think is just so cute

A British Dress for an American Bride - Lots of Amazing Real Wedding Pictures

I know we promised to continue with our Celebrity Wedding Fashion Series but we've finally got Jolene's wedding pictures through and we just had to share.  Oh my goodness! Did she look amazing in her Estilo Moda wedding dress? We definitely say YES!!!

Jolene wanted her dress to be light and airy, floaty and flowy (as we like to call it) for her beach wedding.  She is an American who tied the knot with the British love of her life in her home country last month and we are so proud that she chose Estilo Moda to create her beautiful bespoke wedding dress.  Jolene's dress was created with a 3D lace fabric for the sweetheart neckline bodice and a soft silk chiffon fabric for her sheath style skirt with a puddle train.  She also did not want the hassle of a slipping bodice; so we created straps for her dress with a sophisticated cross back detail. The bodice was cut quite low at the back to show off her lovely sun kissed skin.

Jolene's Testimonial 'The design consultation was so much fun! Lisa listened to what I wanted, and I could tell she had the professional experience as well as personal talent to be able to suggest ways to make your ideas come to life. She was honest and genuine so I felt I could really trust her.  The customer service was impeccable throughout and I am incredibly happy with the result: my dress came on time and on budget and it fits perfectly. I feel my experience with her was one of the highlights of the wedding planning period :)

Do enjoy and let us know what you think...

I hope this provides some ideas and inspiration for you in planning your wedding.

Client Testimonial and Lots of Real Wedding Pictures... Be Inspired

We just received wedding pictures from our darling Aine, whose wedding dress we created in a 50s style.  The first time Aine walked into our Milton Keynes based studio with her lovely sister, I thought 'what a wonderful lady'.  We hit it off immediately. We agreed to use a pale ivory, soft duchess satin fabric for Aine's beautiful bespoke off shoulder, ruched bodice and full skirted wedding dress and she looked amazing; if we do say so ourselves.  This is what Aine had to say:

"The dress was beautiful – exactly what I'd hoped for – and I got so many compliments on the day. I felt absolutely gorgeous in it. The style worked perfectly with the other bridesmaids' dresses and our 1950s/60s era hairstyles. We all felt very 'Mad Men'! And the day itself was wonderful – the kind of day you'd like to sneak back for an hour or two and relive! So much fun, and worth all the stresses. Thanks again for all your help and for giving me the dress I was dreaming of. I know for sure that I wouldn't have been able to find it in an average bridal shop, and certainly not in my budget!"

Enjoy pictures of her wedding dress and be inspired not only by her dress but also by other pictures of her perfectly executed 50s style wedding.  Let us know what you think.
